You Don't Have To Be Perfect To Start

Not everyone is meant to integrate somatic work into their clinical practice. Not everyone wants to step into physiology, breath, posture, nervous system pacing. Some therapists are deeply fulfilled doing the work exactly the way they’re doing it.

That’s not wrong.

But if you’ve been reading the blogs, saving the emails, watching quietly from the sidelines… then it’s probably not neutral either.

Usually when someone circles a training like this for months, it’s not because they’re unsure about the value. It’s because something in them knows it would stretch them. And stretching can feel inconvenient. Or exposing. Or just… like one more thing.

Somatic work can feel intimidating at first. Most therapists were trained to think, analyze, conceptualize. Working with the body asks you to notice tone, breath, pacing, the subtle bracing in a client’s spine. It asks you to regulate yourself while you’re helping someone else regulate.

That’s not what most therapists are educated in, yet it’s also where trauma research keeps pointing.

Our training doesn’t start with anything dramatic. No headstands. No performative yoga. We start in chairs. In micro-interventions and education in the nervous system. In subtle shifts that are clinically appropriate and fully within scope. It’s not about adding something flashy to your sessions. It’s about understanding what’s already happening in the body and learning how to work with it safely.

And yes, it becomes personal too. You notice a new depth of understanding yourself, how your own body may respond to self care, your own tendency to override when you’re tired. That part can be unexpectedly grounding.

So here’s the simple truth. If you've been considering joining a cohort, this might be the time:

March 2026 is the final cohort at this tuition. After that, pricing increases.

If you’ve been waiting for a perfect signal, this may be it.

If it’s not a yes, that’s okay. This is a comprehensive training, not a "videos in the background" training. Yet that doesn't mean you need to be perfect to get started. This may be the nudge you've been waiting for.

Being authentic about knowing if you're ready is key. So regardless of what you decide about the training, I want to offer you something.

I recently recorded an 11-minute meditation called Return to Your Own Authentic Energy.

It’s simple, grounding and an opportunity to pause.

Because before you make any decision — about a training, about your direction, about anything — it helps to come back to yourself first.
